Dong Geun recommend 'Goodbye Fairy' by Yonezawa Honobu for May's book.
It is a mystery novel but it's not related to murder or other kinds of crimes.
The story starts with a foreign girl lost in rain, who came to Japan from Yugoslavia. The girl, Maya, is a daughter of Yugoslavian diplomat and she wants to give some hopes to her country. At that time, 1991, Yugoslavia was in a civil war dividing into 6 countries. But she eventually came back to her country after several good experiences with main character group. She told that she would sent the mail after she arrive, but it did not come until 1 year. So, main character group tries to find where she lives and check whether the place is safe. How will it be? Would they find the country she lives, and save her?
The reason why he recommend this book is because the logic of finding Maya's country is quite interesting. and it also reminds us the tragedy of the war, overlaps with current Russia - Ukraine war.
