The Lecture note we will discuss is titled "Basic Theory of the Toroidal ITG Mode Threshold., by D.R. Ernst.

This Lecture note explores the linear threshold of ion temperature gradient (ITG) turbulence including slab ITG and toroidal ITG.

In addition, we discussed impact of various parameters on ITG such as Te/Ti,ni/ne,trapped electron,collision,Finite Larmor radius effect
